What is KatLink?
KatLink is a VPN (virtual private network) service operated by KATSOFT. It creates an encrypted connection between your device and a KatLink gateway, then sends your internet traffic onward from there.
Will KatLink make me anonymous?
No. A VPN hides your traffic from the network you're connected to and shows websites the gateway's IP address instead of yours. It doesn't make you anonymous: websites and apps you sign into still know who you are, and your payment and account details identify you to us.
Which app do I use?
KatLink works with the official WireGuard app, which is free on Android, iPhone and iPad, Windows, macOS and Linux. KatLink doesn't have its own app. You import your KatLink configuration into WireGuard.
How fast is it?
Speed depends mostly on your own internet connection, how far you are from the gateway, and how busy the network is. We don't promise a particular speed. Some packages may state a speed cap; if so, it's shown before you buy.
Packages and payment
What kinds of packages are there?
Packages can be time-based (for example a day or a month), data-based (a set amount of data), or both. Each package shows its price, duration, data allowance, device limit and when it starts, before you pay.
When does my package start?
It depends on the package, and it's always shown before purchase. A package can start when your payment is confirmed, when you activate it, or the first time you connect.
What happens when my package ends?
When the time runs out or you use up the data allowance, our gateway stops your access automatically. Nothing renews or charges you on its own. You can buy another package whenever you're ready.
Can I add a package while one is still active?
Yes. One package runs at a time, so the new one waits and starts automatically the moment the current one ends. Your access continues without a gap.
How is data counted?
We count both download and upload traffic that passes through the gateway, measured on the gateway itself. We use decimal units: 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes. Your dashboard shows usage as reported by the gateway, along with when it was last updated.
How do vouchers work?
A voucher is a code for a specific package. Enter it in your dashboard to add the package to your account. Each voucher can be used once. Keep voucher codes private: anyone who has the code can redeem it.
How do I pay?
Payments are handled by our payment provider's secure checkout. KatLink never sees or stores your full card details. Your package is activated only after the provider confirms the payment.
Privacy and security
What do you record?
We keep your account details, purchase records, and the service records we need to run packages: when your device last connected, your assigned VPN address, and how much data passed through the gateway. We don't record the websites you visit or the content of your traffic. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
Can I use KatLink on more than one device?
Each package states how many devices can be connected at the same time. Each device gets its own configuration, so you can remove one device without affecting the others.
What if someone gets my configuration file?
Your configuration contains a private key that lets a device use your package. Don't share it. If you think someone else has it, contact support so we can replace it.
Getting help
The app says I'm connected, but nothing loads.
First check your dashboard to see whether your package is active and has data left. Then switch the tunnel off and on again. If it still doesn't work, see the troubleshooting steps in the setup guide or contact support.
